At the Knox Law Center, we take domestic violence cases seriously. We are committed to achieving favorable outcomes for our clients and protecting their futures. Contact our law office to schedule a consultation with one of our Charlotte domestic violence attorneys.
North Carolina defines domestic violence as a threat or act of aggression against a child or adult with whom you have a personal relationship (see N.C. Gen. Stat. Ann. 50B-1). The victim could be a spouse, child, current or former girlfriend/boyfriend, or another member of the family. In most cases, the alleged aggressor and victim live together, but this is not a requirement for domestic violence.
